Yitzchak Ariel, MD

Dr. Yitzchak Ariel is from New York. He attended Yeshiva University and received his medical degree from SUNY- Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai -Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and his Infectious Disease training at SUNY-Downstate/Kings County. He maintains certifications in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.

Prior to joining the Infectious Disease Center of New Jersey, Dr. Ariel worked with the underserved and disenfranchised, serving as Director of Infectious Disease and HIV Services at Damian Family Services in the Bronx and as Medical Director at Housing Works in Manhattan. With this opportunity at IDC, he returns to his first love of hospital medicine, treating clinically complex hospitalized patients at Cooperman Barnabus Medical Center. Other professional interests include antibiotic resistance and stewardship, sexually transmitted diseases, and travel medicine.

He resides with his family in Brooklyn, New York.
